DAVID LEE

David Lee is the Chief Operations Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Impossible Foods, where he leads the company’s business functions. Impossible Foods was founded in 2011 to give consumers a better choice: delicious, healthy, affordable meat and dairy foods made directly from plants using far fewer of Earth’s finite resources than animal-derived foods. The company is a private company funded in part by Khosla Ventures, Bill Gates, Google Ventures, Horizons Ventures, UBS, and Viking Global Investors.

David brings with him more than 20 years of experience across retail and consumer industries, public and private, with a successful track record of helping drive business transformations, organizational effectiveness and increasing shareholder value.

Prior to Impossible Foods, David Lee was the Chief Financial Officer of Zynga, a $2.3 billion public company (Ticker ZNGA), where he led the company’s finance, accounting, and corporate development and human resources organizations. During his tenure of just under two years, David helped transform Zynga into a mobile growth company, increasing mobile penetration from 36% to 69%, resulting in over 80% year-on-year growth in mobile in 2014. He also led the effort to reduce costs, resulting in the company’s first quarter of positive net income since 2013. After providing a seamless transition in CEOs by delivering several quarters exceeding guidance, David resigned to take on his new role at Impossible Foods.

Prior to Zynga, Lee served as the Senior Vice President of Enterprise Finance for Best Buy, where he was responsible for leading the company’s corporate strategy, financial planning and analysis and treasury teams. During his time Best buy was one of the top five fastest rising S&P equities. Before joining Best Buy, Lee spent more than eight years at Del Monte Foods where he held several leadership positions across finance and general management including Senior Vice President of Strategy, where he oversaw corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, transformation and corporate affairs; Senior Vice President of Consumer Products, Vice President of Strategic Planning and Business Development, Vice President of Finance for Consumer Products and Vice President of Sales FP&A. During this time, Del Monte Foods rapidly transformed and ultimately delivered significant shareholder value to its public investors in the
sale of the company to private equity.
