As a third-generation almond farmer from Ripon, California, Jonathan Hoff spent many hours on the ranch as a child and began working with his father in the family processing plant as a teenager.
At a young age, Jonathan was introduced to the ins and outs of the processing business, from hulling and packaging to odd jobs. He went to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where he studied crop science and Ag business. In 2004, he returned to Ripon to help his father with the family business, working first as a ranch manager for the company and eventually becoming CEO. After his family decided to sell the processing business in 2010, Jonathan transitioned into an operations role at Monte Vista Farming Company and eventually became CEO.
Jonathan’s focus is to build a company, which enhances both the value of the crop it sells for its growers, while also increasing the value of it’s offering to customers both domestic and abroad. Jonathan’s family owns several almond farms and a dairy operation in Corcoran, CA. He lives in Ripon, CA with his wife and their three daughters.
