Tyler’s role at Scheid Vineyards is focused on developing and implementing the company’s technology strategy. Primary strategic drivers include: 1) responding to current and future resource constraints due to regulation, labor supply, and natural resources; 2) empowering employees to continuously improve operations, efficiency, and collaboration. The overall purpose of the technology strategy is to provide compelling experiences and value to our customers.
Tyler has worked on a range of technology implementation projects at Scheid, including an organization-wide ERP platform (Enterprise Resource Planning), irrigation automation, field sensor deployment, conversion to paperless data capture of payroll/production data, and Business Intelligence (Analytics). Tyler is currently focused on implementing an ERP platform at Scheid, which is a systems foundation for finance/accounting, warehouse operations, bottling operations, winery operations, and vineyard production.
Prior to joining Scheid Vineyards in 2011, Tyler worked as an environmental consultant in the disciplines of field hydrology, wetland mitigation, NEPA permitting, river systems research and monitoring, watershed planning, GIS (Geographic Information Systems), and CAD (Computer Aided Design). Tyler holds a bachelor’s degree in Geography (University of Colorado), and a master’s degree in Watershed Science (CO State University).
