Manuel Cunha, Jr. is the president of the Nisei Farmers League, a trade association representing farm owners across California.

Manuel has served on many state and federal committees over the years representing the agricultural industry, including the California Air Resources Board, USDA Ag Air Quality Task Force, and the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, D.C. Manuel is also a board member and officer of the Agricultural Coalition for Immigration Reform (ACIR).

Manuel graduated from Cal Poly in 1973 with a B.S. in crop science/agronomy, received his teaching credentials in 1974 and completed his M.S. in 1976. Manuel was an educator for 13 years before starting with the Nisei Farmers League in 1987. He became president of the league in 1996.
